This project is centered on a previous senior design project from 2002 originally created by a team of mechanical engineers and another team of electrical engineers. The mechanical portion of the project was mostly complete, and only minor changes have been made to the mechanical system of the trike bike. The vast majority of the work has focused on the electrical system. Because of complications with the previous electrical design, a complete redesign of the electrical system has been the focus of the project. Goals of the project have revolved around reliability, safety, and documentation of the trike bike. The trike bike has been redesigned in such a way that work needing to be done to complete the project is explicit, and documentation is sufficient for future engineers to understand current implementations with minimal effort. note
