abstract
I began this research when I took a class where students could write to an imprisoned, convicted serial killer as a class project. When the class ended, I continued the correspondence with the subject. This particular project will detail the background of this individual convicted serial killer which will include his childhood, adulthood, cases, and his ideas. It will also look at and evaluate several psychological evaluations which the subject participated in. The evaluations that will be examined include, but are not limited to, the MCMI-III (Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory-III), MMPI-2 (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory®-2), LPS (Levenson's Psychopathy Scale), AQ (Aggression Questionnaire), STAXI-2 (State-Trait Anger Inventory), SPR III-R12 (Self-report Psychopathy-III), and the NAS-PI (Novaco Anger Scale and Provocation Inventory). Many of the ending results of these evaluations indicated that the inmate conformed to average populations in several aspects, but with some exceptions, such as depression, where he scored higher than average. There appears to be little evidence for psychopathy, but some evidence to support antisocial personality disorder. The evaluations also gave other insights into the psychology of the inmate, such as anger tendencies.
